    On offer is an undated (1263-97) silver Sterling or Esterlin coin of Gui de Dampierre as Marquis of Namur, in estimated Fine to Very Fine condition.
    It is approximately 19mm in diameter.
    It was issued as an imitation of the English silver penny and often used as payment for shipments of English wool for the textile industry of the Low Countries. These types of coins were known in England as crockards or pollards.
