Well this is
Not something you see cut everyday.
In fact, most cutters don't want to go near fluorite due to it's softness and ability to cleave in every direction.
These wonderful faceted Illinois Fluorite gems should be used for display, but I have seen some amazing pendants and earrings made similar stones.
This stone is a beautiful purple color and in some lighting has some really nice pink flash to it.
The stone is very eye clean, but on close inspection using magnification (as seen in some of the photos), some micro chalcopyrite are present within the stone, making these even more special.
